Yes. Try it without an account: 20 pages. Sign in with an email code for 5 pages every day, free; after that it keeps translating on your device until the next day, where Chrome has the language pack. Pro, for heavier reading, is 1,000 pages a month for $7.99 (or $59.99 a year), with a 14-day free trial; upgrade from the popup.
A page is a page you translate. It counts once a day, however far you read and however often you come back. Very long pages, like a full Wikipedia article read to the end, count one more page for every 20,000 characters. Anything served from the cache or translated on your device is free, and the popup always shows what is left.
No. There are no keys to paste and no model menus. The service picks a fast model for the text on your screen and a stronger one to refine long articles, and switches when a provider slows down.
Only the text of pages you choose to translate is sent—never URLs, cookies, or form values—and page text stays out of our logs. Sensitive sites are off by default, and Local-only mode keeps everything on your device. Read the privacy policy.
Yes. Select any text, right-click and choose “Translate”. The translation opens in a small card next to it, with a Copy button, and the page stays as it is. Right-click anywhere else on a page for “Translate this page”.
Native Translate writes the translation into the page’s own text as it streams, so links and web apps keep working and you can start reading in under a second. There are no API keys or model menus, and Pro is $7.99 a month. See the comparison.
Translation happens inside the page’s own layout, so links and buttons keep working. If something looks off, press Alt + Shift + T to show the original and use “Report broken site” in the popup.
Chrome on desktop. Local-only mode also needs Chrome 138 or later for Chrome’s built-in translator.
