The page did not translate
Open the popup: the status line says why. Browser pages and the Chrome Web Store cannot be translated. Banking, health, government and webmail sites are off by default; press "Enable on this site" if you want them. If the site is set to "Never", switch it to "Ask" or "Always".
It says "Sign in for more"
The 20 free guest pages are used up. Sign in with your email from the popup; you get 10 pages every day and the page resumes on its own. When a day's pages are used, translation continues on your device where Chrome has the language pack, and the full service comes back at midnight UTC.
Something on the site broke after translating
Press "Show original" (Alt+Shift+T) and use "Report broken site" in the popup. The report reaches our team with the site's hostname, your note and the extension, browser and adapter versions, never page content or the page address. We fix sites through adapters without a new extension release.
Translation looks rough at first, then changes
That is by design: the first pass is an instant draft, the second pass refines the main text with page context. Turn refinement off in the options if you prefer stable text.
Can I keep my text on my computer?
Yes. Local-only mode in the options uses Chrome's built-in translator only (Chrome 138+, language pack download required) and disables the network path.
